Leontin Toderici
Leontin Toderici has over 30 years of experience in banking and has been leading Banca Transilvania’s Operations Division since 2005. Throughout his tenure, he has sponsored and led some of the bank’s most significant transformation programs. These include the implementation of the Oracle FlexCube Core Banking platform on Oracle Exadata and Exalogic infrastructure, a world-first at the time of deployment, the development of Western Union services through BT’s ATM network, as well as the operational and technological integration of the bank’s acquisitions of Volksbank, Bancpost, Idea::Bank and OTP Bank Romania.
In recent years, he has overseen strategic initiatives focused on operational transformation, digitalization, automation and artificial intelligence, with a strong emphasis on process simplification, operational efficiency and enhancing both customer and employee experience. Today, under his leadership, BT’s operations support the processing of millions of transactions every day and the continuous development of modern capabilities across Paperless processes, AI-driven solutions and Digital Trust services.
On average, Banca Transilvania processes approximately 10 million transactions per day. During peak periods, transactions made with BT-issued cards exceed 500 transactions per second, reflecting the scale, resilience and performance of the bank’s operational infrastructure.
