Banca Transilvania has reached the 6 million cards milestone, with the fastest growth pace during June 2022 - November 2023, namely 1 million cards. 1 out of 4 cards in circulation in Romania is issued by BT.

BT figures and trends:

• 25 transactions/second are made with BT cards, with an all-time high of 260 transactions/second, marked this year on Black Friday.
• +20% volume of shopping transactions performed with cards, in the first 11 months of the year, compared to the same period in 2022.
• More than 40% of the purchases paid for, at the POS, with BT cards, are made by phone.
• Almost 60% of the cards issued by the bank are enrolled in BT Pay.
• Record/day: 10,600 cards were issued on 1 August 2023, of which 5,800 were BT Untold cards.
• 164,500 children and young people, aged under 18, have a BT card and 90,000 have BT Pay.
• Over 95% of the issued physical cards are environmentally friendly, made from recycled materials.
