Gabriela Nistor will be the new general manager of Idea::Bank

Gabriela Nistor, Deputy General Manager at Banca Transilvania, with responsibilities in the retail banking and network area, will be the new General Manager of Idea::Bank. An experienced leader, Gabriela Nistor has been working for Banca Transilvania since 1995. In the last 17 years he has coordinated the retail, private banking and network activity, and since 2013 he is the deputy general manager of the bank. He represented the bank in several boards of directors of the companies of the BT Group. He is the President of the Executive Committee of visa Romanian Member Forum (since 2008) and the Vice-president of the Romanian Association of Banks (since 2022). Gabriela Nistor has an EMBA University of Sheffield degree and was the finalist of the Study UK Alumni Awards 2021, the Professional Achievements category in Europe.

Banca Transilvania's plan is to build a 100% digital bank around Idea::Bank, for customer segments that have an appetite for remote banking. If the previous acquisitions of banks have contributed due to their size to the consolidation of BT, Idea::Bank is part of the strategy to accelerate the digital transformation of Banca Transilvania.

The exercise of the new function will begin with obtaining approvals from the supervisory authorities.

The Idea Steering Committee::Bank is also made up of Sinan Kircali – Executive Vice-President Operations, Alin Fodoroiu – Business Executive Vice-President and Sorin Dumitrescu – Risk Executive Vice-President. Mioara Popescu, Executive President of the Steering Committee and President of the Idea Board of Directors::Bank, will continue to be the President of CA Idea.

The idea::bank acquisition agreement was signed in October 2021. Since then, the two banks have carried out their activity separately, and the integration was carried out with the help of the employees of both banks.
